Almost a year.

Its been almost a year since I created this blog. So I have to ask. Whats been the most interesting thing I've shared over the past months? Theres some really good ones here and there in my opinion. Let me know so I can post more things like them.

Ormolu Clocks

Ormolu is the process of applying gold-mercury amalgam (amalgam being the result of the gold-mercury mixture) to an object made out of bronze. This technique was used to make many things, especially clocks.

Every single one of these clocks has a somewhat dark story attached to them. It is said that most people who made this type of clock didn't live over their 40s due to the exposure to mercury. I now have appropriately named them The Clocks, OF DEATH!
